  1. Eligibility: Step into Health is open to all members of the Armed Forces community, including serving personnel, those about to leave the military, veterans, and their spouses/partners.

Non-clinical and Clinical Roles: The program highlights both clinical (such as nursing, medicine, or allied health professions) and non-clinical roles (such as management, administration, IT, HR, logistics, and engineering), recognising that military skills are highly transferable to various NHS positions.

  3. Access to Opportunities: Participants gain access to career advice, work experience placements, insight days, and information about the recruitment process within the NHS.

  4. Mentoring and Support: Step into Health provides guidance on how individuals from the Armed Forces can adapt their experience and skills to the healthcare environment, with mentors available to help them navigate the transition process.

  5. Nationwide Participation: Over 100 NHS Trusts across the UK are partnered with Step into Health, offering a wide variety of positions and resources to program participants.
